PORTFOLIO

A record of Edmonton businesses that needed a website and got one that actually works.

Every project below started the same way — a business owner who needed to be found online, trusted at first glance, and easy to update without calling a developer every time something changed.

How each project actually gets built

No two businesses need the same website, but every project moves through the same disciplined stages so nothing gets rushed and nothing gets forgotten.

01

Scope the real problem

Most clients arrive saying “I need a website,” but the real ask is usually narrower: get found on Google, look credible to new customers, or replace a site that’s embarrassing on a phone. The first working session pins that down before a single pixel is placed.

02

Structure before style

Pages get mapped and content gets organized before any design decisions are made. A beautiful homepage that hides your phone number is a failed homepage, so structure is treated as seriously as the visuals.

03

Build in WordPress, test on real devices

Every site is built on WordPress so the client can edit it later without paying for every small change. Before anything ships, it’s tested on an actual phone, an actual tablet, and a slow connection — not just a wide desktop monitor.

04

Hand over something you can run

Launch day includes a short walkthrough of the admin panel so the client can update text, swap photos, and publish a blog post without waiting on anyone.

Industries this portfolio covers

Different trades need different things from a website. Here’s what tends to matter most in each category, based on the work done so far.

Local Retail & Shops

Clear hours, location map, and product photography that loads fast on mobile data.

Restaurants & Cafés

Menus that update seasonally without a developer, plus one-tap directions and calling.

Professional Services

Lawyers, accountants, and consultants who need trust signals above the fold and an easy contact form.

Trades & Contractors

Service area pages, before/after galleries, and quote request forms that don’t get lost.

Non-Profits & Community Groups

Donation pathways, event calendars, and volunteer sign-up forms kept simple for non-technical staff.

Health & Wellness Practices

Booking-friendly layouts, service breakdowns, and a tone that reads calm rather than clinical.

Representative project types

A sample of the kinds of engagements that make up this portfolio, grouped by what the client actually needed.

Small business storefront redesign
FULL REDESIGN

A ten-year-old site brought back to life

An Edmonton shop was running a site built in 2009 — no mobile view, broken contact form, unreadable on modern screens. The redesign kept their existing branding but rebuilt the entire structure on WordPress with mobile-first layouts.

Branding and identity design work
BRAND + WEBSITE

Building the brand and the site together

A new business with no logo, no colours, and no site launched all three at once. Print materials, a business card set, and a five-page website were delivered as one consistent package.

Mobile responsive website design
MOBILE OPTIMIZATION

Fixing a site that only worked on desktop

Over 70% of the client’s traffic was arriving on phones, but the site had never been tested on one. A targeted mobile pass fixed navigation, font sizing, and form usability without a full rebuild.

Social media management dashboard
ONGOING MANAGEMENT

Website plus social, run on a monthly basis

Some clients don’t want a one-time launch — they want someone keeping the site current and posting to social media. This project runs on a standing monthly retainer.

Portfolio questions, answered

The things clients usually want to know before requesting a proposal.

Can I see live examples of past websites?

Yes — a selection of live and archived project links is shared during the consultation call, matched to your industry so the examples are relevant to what you’re building.

Do you only build in WordPress?

WordPress is the default because it lets clients manage their own content afterward, but simple static HTML/CSS sites are also available for projects that don’t need a content management system.

How long does a typical project take?

A standard five-page business site usually takes two to four weeks from signed proposal to launch, depending on how quickly content and photos are provided.

Will my new site work properly on phones?

Every project in this portfolio is tested on real mobile devices before launch, not just resized in a browser window, since most local traffic now arrives on a phone.

Can you redesign my existing site instead of starting over?

Yes — a large share of this portfolio is redesign work that reuses existing content and branding while rebuilding the structure to be current and mobile-friendly.

Have a project that belongs in this portfolio?

Tell me what you’re building and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a good fit.
